In Bangkok Thailand, we conducted a calligraphy workshop.
会場はLat ya 15です。ここは町工場の小さな路地。
ここでは主にタイ北部のイサーン出身者が労働しています。
この路地位置する靴会社MUZINA[ http://muzina-bkk.strikingly.com ]の経営者である江森貴之さんを主催に、子供達の教育プログラムが開始されました。
『書のカレンダーを作ろう！』
“Let’s make your SHODO calendar with your favorite KANJI (Japanese picture writing originally from China)”.
【概要】[Overview]
習字の学習を基礎に、芸術としての書の心に触れる試みです。
自分の好きな漢字一字を用いて、書のカレンダーを製作します。
五體字類や書道辞典をもとに、甲骨文字から楷書に至るまでの様々な書体の表したプリントを配布します。
そこから好きな書体を選びカレンダーに清書します。
(先生が生徒それぞれに手本を書きます。)
Based on the technique of SHODO (the calligraphic art form of Japan), this workshop is an introduction in the appreciation of the art of SHODO. We will create a SHODO calendar using one of your favorite KANJI characters. I will provide various font types from ancient hieroglyphics to modern styles. We will use the “GOTAIJIRUI” Calligraphy Dictionary for reference. You can choose your favorite typeface from the dictionary, and then write the KANJI character in the calendar in the SHODO style. (The teacher will write an example for each student.)

In Bangkok Thailand, we conducted a calligraphy workshop at 23th August.
The venue is Lat ya 15.
This is a small alley of the town factory. Workers of Isan in Northern Thailand are working mainly.
The educational program of children in this area has been started.
The organizer is the owner of this shoemaker MUZINA, Takayuki Emori in this valley.
"It is said that Thailand is a country with a smile.
Thai people smile, of course, and as long as they are with them, you can smile.
In downtown Bangkok, I was made aware of the importance of connection with the people the Japanese forgot.
I am happy to welcome people who can sympathize with this project.
